This charming village is located at the heart of the Ardennes Regional Park. The Village itself lays on the outside of the most spectacular meander in France.
The region is home to various legends such as the "Ermite Maugis", "Quatre Fils Aymon", the castle of the Devil at Roc la Tour, the ruins of the Linchamps castle, the "Dames de Meuse"; the Saut Thibault", all of these legends are related to rock formations and spectacular views.

At the confluence of the Meuse and Semoy rivers, Monthermé is the ideal starting point to discover the charm of the Meuse and Semoy valleys. The beauty of their landscapes is unique and to be appreciated in every season.
The view of the famous meander from "La Roche a Sept Heures" and "La Longue Roche" in the communal forest of Monthermé is not to be missed.
Alone, in couple, with your family or with friends, you can walk, cycle or take a ride on the Voie Verte Trans-Ardennes and the Voie Trans-Semoysienne. For the amateurs there are plenty of opportunities for climbing, mountain biking, paragliding or even a nearby acrobatic park.
